With OPRL approval, packs can display clear recycling guidance to consumers. Meanwhile our Servo X side sealers, also lauded for their sustainability credentials, have been shown to minimise film waste in production by as much as 35%.
Display and transit packaging
Our polyolefin shrink films can help you create wrinkle-free, glossy, high-shine packs when using our L sealing and side sealing equipment. Alternatively, when personal care products are required in multipacks or must be protected in the distribution channel, we can supply robust heavy-duty polythene films and a range of sleeve sealing machines to ensure total pack security.
Tamper evidence
Medicinal products fall under strict regulations when it comes to packaging, but YPS won’t let you down. Manufacturers who sell medical products must demonstrate compliance with the Falsified Medicine Directive, which rules that products must not be tampered with. A layer of intact shrink film is an easy, cost-effective way of reassuring customers that their medicinal products have not been falsified.
BAMA Aerosol compliance
YPS have many years of expertise in the packing of aerosols. These highly pressurised, flammable products must be handled carefully in a production environment to avoid serious health and safety risks. We can upgrade our sleeve sealing range to incorporate a full suite of aerosol safety features to ensure your set-up is 100% BAMA compliant.
Bags with antimicrobial properties
Many individual packs of medicines and pharmaceuticals can be successfully packed with a vertical auto bagging unit. For these applications, we would also recommend the use of a gamma-patient poly bag, which are ideal for syringes, implants, surgical gloves. Their antimicrobial properties maintain complete sterility and prevent contamination during transit.
