Our heat shrink tunnels for Polyolefin shrink film feature an active rotation conveyor system.

We also offer single chamber shrink tunnels for polythene, which is thicker and requires more heat to activate shrinkage.

Polythene-wrapped packs are generally heavier, necessitating a steel mesh belt conveyor for these applications.

For faster shrink wrapping, we provide double chamber shrink heat tunnels, designed to extend the tunnel length to maintain the same shrinking time and ensure high-quality results.

These tunnels’ variable speed control mechanisms provide complete control of production speeds and the adjustable air-flow system helps to achieve the best possible presentation for shrink wrapped packs.

The after-pack blower on the polythene tunnels cools the pack down immediately after it vacates the heat oven. This completes the shrinking process with the film and ensures that the packs reach maximum handling strength in the shortest possible time. Polythene shrink film reaches its full strength potential once it has cooled.

Ideal specifications for every application

For polythene applications – primarily transit packaging purposes – we recommend using a steel mesh belt with an under belt blower and after pack cooler. We incorporate a steel mesh belt with side chains, as this setup is superior for heavy packs compared to using just a friction drive, which can stretch over time and require replacement.

For display applications using thinner polyolefin films, we use an active rotation conveyor belt system for optimal under pack shrinking. The pack moves faster than the belt, avoiding burn marks on the film from prolonged contact. Accurate temperature control is essential for consistency, so we utilise “solid state” temperature controllers for reliability.
