YPS offers a range of wide shrink tunnels to complement our wide inline sleeve sealing machines.
Wide shrink tunnels are specifically designed for large, heavy packs, distinguishing them from regular models with upgraded features such as stronger belts and motors for improved airflow, ensuring optimal shrinkage.
These specially designed tunnels enable the production of a professional finished pack, catering for large items such as doors, insulation panels and flooring items.

Drive shafts and heavy-duty conveyor
Designed especially to handle large products, the heavy-duty steel mesh belt with drive points across the whole width of the belt ensures packs are transported with ease without any stretching or dragging of the belt. This delivers improved longevity.
Heater banks
The tunnel's multiple heater banks are operated from the central control panel. This offers total control over the heat in all areas of the shrink tunnel, which can be set individually, zoned or synced as per your requirements.
Balanced air flow
Standard shrink tunnels blow air into the chamber from both ends, but our wide shrink tunnels employ multiple fan motors which are designed to ensure well-maintained airflow throughout these large units. They are inverter controlled for variable speeds, allowing the operator flexible air distribution control. Differing points of the tunnel can be targeted with the exact right degree of air flow for the perfect pack results.
Under belt cooling fans
The under belt cooling fans and after-pack cooling fans ensure the packs reach maximum handling strength in the shortest possible time. Smoothing rollers are also typically used for polythene applications in order to ensure total enclosure of larger packs is achieved.

Perfect shrinkage for larger packs
A range of upgraded features are incorporated into our wide shrink ovens in order that larger packs can be accommodated.
Accurate temperature controls ensure a consistent end pack presentation, as well as multiple air fan motors for precision air flow throughout the large heat chamber.
Smoothing rollers at the outfeed ensure total enclosure of packs, which is especially important for water-proofing purposes and to limit damage to packs in transit.
Finally, the steel mesh belt has an upgraded design with drive points positioned across the whole width of the belt.
This feature means that even the heaviest of packs are transported throughout the tunnel with ease and prevents any stretching or misalignment of the belt over time that would happen with a friction-driven belt.

YPS can complement any wide shrink-wrapping system with the supply of BRC accredited polythene shrink film, in thicknesses up to 150mu.
Designed for use on our wide inline wrapping units, our polythene specifications will ready your large packs for a number of challenges, preventing impact damage, maintaining a waterproof layer and creating product bundles.
Durable and yet lightweight enough to withstand any carrier network, our polythene films are 100% recyclable post-use and can be supplied with recycled content.
