The lining also provides a smooth, slightly glossy finish which improves the aesthetic appeal of packs. 100% recyclable: Composed from 95% paper with only a 5% PE lining, our PE lined papers remain 100% recyclable.
Barrier properties: The PE lining is 100% waterproof and will prevent moisture transfer between layers. They are also ideal to maintain sterile conditions within packs, offering protection from contaminants to medical products.
Printed Possibilities: Can be supplied in white or brown variations and with printed designs if required to improve branding and display important information.
Compatible Machinery: Designed for use with high-speed e-commerce horizontal baggers and flow wrappers.

A PE lining is the only method by which papers can be heat sealed to close a pack. By incorporating a very thin PE lining on the inner face of the paper, which constitutes less than 5% of the overall pack weight, a tight, hermetic heat seal can be formed from the two layers of meeting paper. PE liners are also ideal for packs needing protective barrier properties. For instance, printed magazines can be effectively waterproofed with PE lined paper and medical-grade products can be protected from oxygen and kept sterile. In addition, a PE lining adds high tensile strength and stiffness to paper materials, as well as a high tear resistance.

Our PE lined papers remain 100% recyclable, regardless of the PE component.

By nature, PE lined papers can be heat welded for strong closures. You can create packs with longitudinal overlap seals, side seals and even sewn edges to achieve a number of different effects and pack formats. Our Paper X machine range and Paper E-Com Fit model can create strong packs from PE lined papers.
