Jet UK Choose Rochman Shrink Wrappers
Backup and service were the deciding factors when Jet UK, a leading manufacturer and supplier of stationery chose to purchase a Rochman automatic L sealer and shrink tunnel from Yorkshire Packaging Systems.
Although Jet UK already uses a variety of shrink wrappers to provide a display over wrap for various multi-packed stationery items such as document folders, it was expanding its premises and turned to YPS for help.As shrink wrapping in polyolefin shrink film provides the best presentable pack at the lowest unit cost, YPS supplied the SLAU 50x50 Rochman fully automatic ‘L’ sealer and TR45/90 shrink tunnel. This was the first Rochman shrink wrapping machine installed at Jet UK and is capable of wrapping 1,500 packs each hour.
YPS won this initial order against strong competition on the grounds of improved reliability, additional features and crucially, backup and service. YPS included a four visit on-site service contract - over and above the standard warranty. As Glyn Johnson, YPS sales director explained:
“Backup and service is often overlooked as a given when purchasing capital equipment such as shrink wrapping equipment. From my experience this varies widely from vendor to vendor and is something Jet had suffered with in the past. YPS, however, prides itself on its exceptional shrink wrap equipment spares and service backup.”
