At Yorkshire Packaging, we have recently completed a triple installation of YPS shrink wrapping machines into the Bradford based factory of Hallam Beauty (formerly Harmer Personal Care).

Hallam Beauty are a leading contract manufacturer of own and private label cosmetic and hygiene products for many popular brands of shampoo, shower gel etc.

Reduce costs with shrink wrapping

Driven to increase efficiency and reduce packaging costs, Hallam instigated a packaging review across their entire product range. As they needed secure and presentable packs capable of surviving the distribution cycle, shrink wrapping was the obvious choice.

Shrink wrapped packs also provided them with a shelf ready format which is now increasingly important in consumer products.

Results beyond expectations

Hallam Beauty initially ordered one YPS shrink wrapping machine with a new built in pack clamp and backup sensor, which gave them the flexibility to produce either packs with or without trays.

Hallam was delighted with the YPS shrink wrapping equipment and their customers liked the new style of packaging, which led them to order a second and a third shrink wrapping machine in less than 10 months. Now almost 95% of their entire factory output is shrink wrapped.
