Two future-proof, intelligent machines for ecommerce bagging operations will be on show together at the Intralogistex event at Yorkshire Packaging Systems’ (YPS’) stand, 414.

The market’s first hybrid vertical bagging machine, the Max Pro 24, was launched during 2023.  Able to accept either poly bags or paper materials, it caters perfectly for an operation with multiple customers with different needs or can future proof an operation whose needs and choices may change going forward.

It can also boast flexibility in the products it’s able to pack.  The Max Pro 24 is the widest autobagging unit of its kind currently available on the market. With a generous aperture of 24”, it’s roomy enough to bag two shoeboxes side by side. Plus, with a thermal printer for direct on-bag printing, the Max Pro 24 makes light work of any hand-loaded e-commerce pack.

Intralogistex visitors are welcome to bring along their own products to the stand to trial on the Max Pro 24 and discover its full potential.

One-in, one-out data for total security

For high-speed, higher volume operations, YPS will also present the Flexo 700 E-com horizontal bagging unit, with integrated ICE Vulcan print and apply labelling technology from Clearmark.

Working with only one individual piece of data at any time, the product’s barcode is read, the corresponding address record is retrieved and one dedicated label is printed. The product is then bagged and the printed label applied before the data is destroyed. This one-in-one-out process eliminates errors, ensures total reliability, total security and 100% compliance with GDPR data regulations.

The labeller in the Flexo 700 e-com is unique in that it can run with or without pneumatics, so it’s suitable regardless of the availability of compressed air in the packing operation in which it’s installed.

But the labelling system isn’t the only smart technology that the Flexo 700 E-com offers.  Automatically adjusting the film to match the product’s length, the Flexo 700 E-com produces precise fitting shipping bags with the lowest possible material use. Suitable for the direct dispatch of individual goods, packing groups of products, or meeting the complex requirements of returned goods packaging, the machine processes various film types with different thicknesses, including recycled content films and recyclable mono-material films.

The Flexo 700 E-com will also be running on the stand for visitors to see its impressive capabilities.
