YPS Steal the Show at the PPMA Awards by Winning Prestigious Customer Service Award

The 2014 PPMA Group Industry Awards were held on Tuesday 30 September at the National Motorbike Museum in Birmingham during the PPMA Show.

We had been shortlisted for the Customer Service award for 2014 and after fighting off strong competition they were the winners on the night! We were also shortlisted for the Exceptional Sales or Company Growth Award and we are pleased to say that we finished Highly Commended in this category!

Winning the prestigious Customer Service award marks a significant landmark for our Yorkshire based, family run, company as we pride ourselves on delivering best in class customer service. Our motto is: “If we don’t look after the customer then someone else will” and it certainly goes to show that this attitude has made winning the award possible.

We have found that traditionally many companies supplying capital equipment focus on the product and the end sale while neglecting the importance of investing in ongoing back-up and support from a customer service angle, due to the investment it requires.

That not the case with us:

  • First of all, we protect our reputation and pride as a family business as every piece of equipment has our name on it;
  • Secondly we are aware that machine down time costs money, whether due to a spare part or a service engineer;
  • Finally it makes good business sense as not investing in supporting the machinery supplied is a false economy as more business would be lost from potential repeat orders if we did not do this.

We have been in business for almost 40 years and have a dedicated team of service engineers, office staff and sales people all dedicated to ensuring that our customers receive high quality shrink wrapping solutions but also that our customer service and after sales back up and support is second to none.
